We used up our velvet gloss far off ahead Before all of our pieces came into play Violet summoned an angel from the ether to be fair Passing of time makes us want what we had We’ve come a long way Violet is about be drawn back to reality From butterflies and rainbow covered cherry pie on golden leafs We run out of alibis far off ahead Before our inner children came to play Violet summons the devil The demons want to get hurt Passing of time remains mystery in her hand We’ve come a long way Violet is about be drawn back to reality Butterflies and rainbow covered cherry pie on golden leafs Goodbye golden summer Bright goes a friend in need In a butterscotch blonde chevy We’re driving in the seventh sea

Ooh my love It's a chain That Eddie knows Animal sounds about right Penny loves and Penny dies Skipping dawn Sun hits late Twenty-five but still in time She said Animals We're animals We thrive on lonely days But rather gaze in gray We are diamonds on a stroll Or maybe we rock 'n' roll Low delighted in the honey bay But some things never change like love Ooh my love It's a chain that Eddie knows Magician in between lies With a twenty-five dollar mic He jumps over love by design Eddie knows how to steal time She said Animals But Eddie knows We lie in funny ways And rather fade in haze Gods are in control Maybe we lost them all Low delighted in the honey bay Some things never change like love Ooh my love It's a chain That Eddie knows Ooh my love It's a chain But Eddie knows

Hold on to something greater We won’t understand Operator terminator Show up and put the game back on In a way we forgot how to celebrate Lullabies for the better times lie ahead But don’t make us wake no more divines Soon we fly into every weather change High on Sci-Fi Given more Tie-Fighter fights Hello, we are kites Kites stay vague in the wind Mama boys weirdo kiddos They’ll all disintegrate We’ve been looking up to mighty Vader Though it’s not the vest In a way we got stuck in our silhouette to make way for the seven gates lie ahead But don’t make us wake no more divines Soon we fly in every weather change High on Sci-Fi Given more Tie-Fighter fights Hello, we are kites Kites stay vague in the wind Hold on to something greater We won’t understand Operator terminator Show up to put the game back on

We live on stars Don’t forget Come take my hand Life will give a way Hold on to the brighter light I stand by your side Shine on and we’ll be alright Love will never die We live on stars Without regrets Come take my hand Life will show the way Hold on to the brighter times As I stand by your side Shine on and we’ll be alright Love will never die

about

Since 2020 Tom Silkman (Thomas Seidmann, lead singer and guitarist of up and coming psychedelic rock band Yet No Yokai) has been working on songs inspired by his acoustic guitar whilst also relearning the instrument in its basic form and getting more comfortable with performing, recording and mixing. The driving ideas for the project were minimalism, a sonic leaning towards psychedelic music, repetitive strumming patterns, a warm analog feel of 70s singer-songwriter tape recordings and to draw contrary pictures and stories about being human in a sci-fi world. Influences from Nick Drake, José González, Kevin Morby and Ty Segall were clearly being drawn.
The process resulted in his self produced and released solo album «High On Sci-Fi» (Fuzztronaut Records) with ten songs and a wonky lo-fi signature.
